Lee County Board Honors 911 30 Year Employee

Lee County Board member and former Lee County Sheriff as well as State Senator Tim Bivins during the recent Lee County Board meeting pointed out that since it began the Lee County 911 has handled 100’s of thousands of calls.

He called it critical to have a superior working 911 system and he said because of Shelley Dallas the county has that,  During that same board meeting, the board honored Dallas on 30-years of service.  Bivins said she is very dedicated to her job.

Bivins went on to say when they hired Dallas they knew they had hired someone special because she was one of the best dispatchers they have ever had.

Dallas was made Lee County Emergency Telephone System Board Director in 2000.  He finished by saying citizens could sleep better knowing Dallas was doing the job.

Dallas said the past thirty years they have worked for the citizens and got the job done.  The County gave Dallas a plaque and a gift card in recognition of her service.
