The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office said shortly before 1:00 pm Thursday they received two separate crash notifications of an accident at the intersection of Hahnman Road and Luther Road in Rural Tampico.
Deputies and Crash Reconstruction Unit says a Ford F-150 was traveling southbound on Luther Road near Hahnman Road. Deputies say a semi-tractor trailer collided with the Ford, which had failed to stop at the stop sign.
The driver of the Ford pickup was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Three other occupants, all juveniles were pronounced deceased at the scene. The truck drive sustained no injuries.
The Whiteside County Sheriff said no names would be released out of respect for all those involved. The crash remains under investigation
