Do you want to see more gaming machines in Dixon, or do you feel there are enough already.

This was part of the discussion during the recent Dixon City Council meeting.  The Hometown Pantry in Dixon would like to serve alcohol as well as sell liquor and other items.

Some on the council feels the real motive is to add gaming machines.  Councilwoman Mary Oros said she understands the free market aspect; however, the council does have a vision for the community.

Councilman Dennis Considine said some people feel there are enough gaming machines in town already.

Mayor Glen Hughes said he is satisfied that the owners said the bulk of the sales and revenue would be coming from liquor sales and not gaming.

It was decided to table the issue since Councilman Mike Venier was not present and he could be the tiebreaker on the issue.
