For many years, Whiteside County Law Enforcement have participated in the Dunkin Donuts Cop on the Roof fundraiser. This event helps to raise funds to benefit the Special Olympics.
Since a Dunkin has now opened in Dixon; Local Law Enforcement will be holding their own Cop on the Roof event. Dixon Police Chief Steve Howell says Sgt Lincoln Sharp is spearheading the event and he is looking forward to getting on the roof.
The Cop on the Roof will be Friday May 19, from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm. If you donate a dollar, you will get a coupon for a free donut and if you donate $10, you will get free medium coffee coupon and a free mug while supplies last.
