Brad Paisley’s new track was inspired by the Grammy Awards’ opening performance.
The “Mud on the Tires” singer kicked off the February awards presentation by performing “I Love L.A.” alongside Sheryl Crow, Brittany Howard, John Legend, St. Vincent, and the rock band Dawes.
Brad had previously collaborated on the song “Raining Inside” with Dawes lead singer Taylor Goldsmith, but it just included Brad’s voice. Following the Grammys, they got together and formed the band.
Brad and Taylor are scheduled to talk about their collaboration on Instagram Friday at 5:30 p.m. ET.
“Raining” follows Brad’s current country single, “Truck Still Works,” which is also the title of his new tour, which begins May 21 in Idaho Falls.
