The Lindenwood baseball team (7-8) dropped a Saturday game with Butler (6-7) by a score of 11-10 from Lou Brock Sports Complex
GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood scored just two batters in when Tyler Thompson drove in Kam Edwards with a double. Tanner Simpson’s home run in the second inning extended the Lions’ advantage to 2-0.
Butler tied the game with two runs in the fourth inning before taking the lead with one. The Bulldogs took a 9-2 lead after scoring five runs in the fifth inning and one in the sixth.
Lindenwood scored three more in the sixth inning, led by a blast from Edwards that brought in Charlie Isom-McCall and Evan Funkhouser, making the score 9-5.
The Bulldogs scored two more runs in the eighth to go ahead 11-5. Lindenwood’s Jake Radosevich and Mitch Cummins hit home runs in the ninth inning, bringing the score to 11-8.
Filip Sarota doubled home two runs to bring the Lions within one, 11-10. Butler was able to cling on for a one-run triumph, however.
