ROCHELLE –Creston Road between Caron Road and Dement Road will be blocked to through traffic starting Monday, March 10 at 7 a.m., according to the City of Rochelle Public Works Department.
Creston Road must be closed in order to replace three deteriorating stormwater culvert pipes. The city’s continuous stormwater maintenance program includes this activity. Depending on the weather, the work should be mostly finished by Friday, March 14 at 4 p.m.
Illinois Route 38 will be used to divert traffic from Creston Road to Caron Road and Dement Road. Near the impacted area, temporary traffic control equipment such as detours and advanced warning signs will be erected.
When driving in this area, please exercise caution and pay particular attention to any road closure signs, advanced warning signs, and other temporary traffic control devices that are located within or ahead of the work zone. Your patience throughout this project is much appreciated by the city.
