New Lights on the Dixon Memorial Arch said to Pop at Night

By Tim Garnhart Jul 1, 2024 | 9:03 AM

The facelift for the Dixon Memorial Arch is completed and Dixon Public Works Director Matt Heckman says the color of the lights for Dixon really pops at night.

Several people have given positive comments in regards to how good the lights look.  Some have also mentioned that during the day the Dixon lettering is hard to see because they are the same color as the rest of the arch.  Heckman said they were going for monument look.

The Dixon lettering can change color according to the season.  During the Petunia Festival, the color may be pink or red, white and blue for the Fourth of July.  The arch could be red and green for the Christmas time.

The city wanted to thank the Wolber family and Arthurs Garden Deli for making the donation to get the work on the arch completed.
