The cicadas are coming, and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is inviting Illinois artists of all ages to share their best original artwork of cicadas for a fun exhibition in Conservation World during the Illinois State Fair in August.
Illinois is the epicenter of a rare double cicada brood emergence, and IDNR wants to commemorate the occasion with art. The IDNR is calling it the “Everyone Belongs in Nature – Even Cicadas” art show.
