During the recent Sterling City Council meeting, the members were given a run-down of some of the issues with the new city budget.

City Manager Scott Schumard said it looks as though the city has around $4 million in expenses.  He said technically, that is true.  However, when compared to last year the pension bond payment was larger, but they are not as much this year.

He said the biggest expenses this year is the nearly $3 million the city is spending on the River Front Project.

The city has planned several road repair projects for this year.  Schumard said they hope to put out for bid very soon in regards to those projects.
