Is anyone else sick and tired of these potholes and this terrible road on South Galena between Hardee’s and Walmart?
Could you imaging walking or riding your bike on these sidewalks along this stretch of road?
If you are fed up with this, there is something you can do say the City of Dixon.
The city says they need your help filling out a short survey!!!
The city is partnering with IDOT on a federal grant application that would not only fix this street, but also add and 8-foot wide bike path throughout this area.
That is not all….
This project will also connect the pathway currently under construction along the river to this area.
This survey data will show the federal grant reviewers the desperate need for this project.

If you are asking how important this is, the last survey we did about the new pedestrian bridge that will be built over the old railway piers is what we needed to win that grant after 8 prior attempts. Help us accomplish this for you. Take the survey.
