May the Force be with you was the saying Saturday at the Dixon Historic Theatre. It was a time for good guys and bad guys, Jedi’s and princesses.
The theatre showed to a nearly packed house the Star Wars New Hope. Organizers said they were surprised by the response throughout the film by those in attendance.
The cheers the Evil Darth Vader received during his first appearance on the big screen also impressed them. In fact, Darth Vader and the bounty hunter Boba Fett, both made appearances during the film. However, organizers said they still felt everyone were Jedi’s Saturday night.
In the audience were several small children, seeing Star Wars on the big screen for the first time. People at the theatre said they were so happy with the turn out they may plan to show The Empire Strikes Back next.
