The Sterling Police Department has a new beautiful blond working for them. She has big brown eyes and loves treats and playtime. She is an 8-week old Golden Retriever puppy named Millie.
She will soon be replacing the departments first Comfort Dog Brinkley as her and her handler Tekla Marin are retiring. Millies’s Handler Mary Toth says Millie would be going through training to be a comfort dog.
Toth says Millie is very energetic and wakes up each morning ready to face any challenges. She and Brinkley have met and reportedly, Brinkley fell in love with Millie right away.
Toth said they would be holding a meet and greet at Pet Smart in Sterling. This way the public could meet the newest member of the department. Toth said they have not set a date yet, but they would get that information to the public very soon.
