The Dixon American Legion Post 12, on Monday, awarded WIXN Radio (River Country 101.7, Sky 95.7, WIXN 95.1 and 1460) a Local Media Award “Public Relations Recognition Award”.
This award is the first given out to local media by the Dixon American Legion. The award states, “In special recognition and appreciation for the continued support of Dixon American Legion Post. For over 30 year, the radio station has assisted with public service announcements, along with demonstrating support of the Post and Veterans related programs and events.”
The Dixon American Legion Post 12 is located at 1120 West 1st Street in Dixon.
