Larry Spinka, age 63, died Friday, June 2, 2023.
Larry was born on February 3, 1960 in Sterling the son of Lee and Laura (Buckingham) Spinka. He graduated from Rock Falls High School in class of 1979. Larry married Sally Sullivan on July 14, 1987 in Morrison. He recently retired from working for the City of Rock Falls for 37 years. Larry was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, beekeeper, gardener and grandpa. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Sally Spinka; one daughter, Amber Spinka of Rock Falls; one son, Odin (Kelsi) Spinka of O’Fallon, MO; one brother, Leon Spinka of Rock Falls; four grandchildren, Payton, Hunter, Henry and Hudsyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 1:00-3:30 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls with Dr. Reverend Scott Porter officiating.
