Kenneth R. Tabor, age 74, died at home Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Ken was born on November 11, 1948 in Sterling the son of James S. and Irene (Doty) Tabor. He married Wanda R. Masini on April 1, 1967 in Rock Falls. Ken was employed as a Strandcaster with Northwestern Steel & Wire for over 33 ½ years retiring in 2001. He enjoyed making stained glass, RC cars, collected sports cars and spending time with family. Ken was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife Wanda of Rock Falls; three daughters, Julie (Daniel Wrage) Tabor-Bass of Sterling; Sheri (Blaine) Powers of Tomahawk, WI and Becky (Michael) Reyes of Holmes Beach, FL; three brothers, James (Patricia) Tabor of Rock Falls, Charles Tabor of Sterling and Terry “Rick” (Teri) Tabor of Rock Falls; He has ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren that brought him a lot of love and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gary Tabor; one sister, Sandra Henson.
Gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Friday, June 9, 2023 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Happy Tails and St. Jude’s Childrens Hospitals.
