The Nachusa Grasslands is doing what it can to help an endangered species to survive.
Blanding’s turtle hatchlings were released this week at Nachusa Grasslands. The release is a collaborative process between The Nature Conservancy (TNC) of Illinois, Forest Preserve Districts in DuPage and Lake Counties, Richardson Wildlife Foundation, and Northern Illinois University.
Blanding Turtles have been a focus of study at Nachusa Grasslands for many years.
